The official Opening of the YOU & EYE Boutique

The official inauguration on thursday October 5th of the famous Iris photo boutique, You & Eye, in Valencia was well attended. A large number of French and Spanish, as well as Americans, Belgians and Canadians, turned up for the cocktail party to officially launch this new franchise: the company is now expanding to Spain, with its first shop in Valencia, followed by another in Seville and soon in Malaga.

First set up in Paris 2 years ago by Elie SZCZUPAK, a French multi-entrepreneur, YOU & EYE was born from a simple idea: to offer a photo of your iris, with the ambition of being a unique and innovative player in this promising market. To achieve this, he has developed technical processes that produce a unique and spectacular high-definition image.

After more than 15 years in the press and retail business, Eric and Aurélie Verdevoye decided to open up the Spanish market: they chose to change their lives by moving to Valencia, taking with them this project to internationalise YOU & EYE. Eric and Aurélie are responsible for this franchise throughout Spain, with the ambition of opening 70 to 80 different locations.

As you undoubtedly know, the iris, the pigmented disc that gives your eyes their colour, is potentially a work of art that can decorate your home in a highly original way… For some time now, this concept of turning our eyes into artistic masterpieces has been attracting interest and is becoming increasingly popular.

A photo product that can be used on a variety of different surfaces, it’s an opportunity to discover an aspect of yourself that you don’t know and to magnify it into a work of art. Once isolated, the photo of the iris is then processed and edited, all for a starting price of 29 euros (digital file) or 39 euros for a basic print. For more elaborate prints on aluminium or acrylic, expect to pay around €150 to €200, and up to €1,000 for large, ultra-professional prints.
