Valencia to host Ironman 70.3 for three editions starting in 2024

The City of Arts and Sciences, the Marina, and the Turia Gardens will be the main venues for the prestigious triathlon event.

Valencia will become the epicenter of the sports world with the arrival of Ironman 70.3, a competition that will span three editions starting from April 21, 2024. The event will take place in the stunning setting of the waterfront, with the City of Arts and Sciences and the Marina as the main protagonists.

Ironman 70.3 is renowned for its challenging middle-distance course, which includes 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling, and 21.1 km of running, totaling 70.3 miles in honor of its name.

This thrilling sports weekend will not only attract competitors from around the world but will also have a direct impact on the local economy. The competition’s route will allow triathletes to discover some of Valencia’s most emblematic locations, blending urban areas with natural landscapes.

The Three Stages of Valencia’s Ironman 70.3:

The swimming stage will lead participants to swim in the Marina of Valencia and the Mediterranean Sea, covering a 1.9-kilometer course with protected and excellent-quality waters.

The cycling route will be challenging, featuring flat sections and uneven terrain, taking cyclists from the Marina of Valencia to the Sierra Calderona and back to the City of Arts and Sciences.

Finally, the running race, totaling 21.1 km, will start and finish at the City of Arts and Sciences, passing through the Turia Gardens, ensuring a large audience.

Registrations for the general public will be available starting from Thursday, October 5th, at 4:00 PM.
